Welcome to St. James Parish!

Everyone is welcome to join in worship, prayer, and service.

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Elaine Roush on Friday, February 23rd.  Elaine was deeply committed to the mission of St. James and was steadfast in her dedication and service to this community.  She served this parish in ways that will leave a deep void that will be hard to fill.  Whether she was supporting the vigil to keep our parish alive, or driving efforts to tithe in surrounding communities through God’s Storehouse, ISOH Impact, Fostoria Cash Mob and countless others…..serving on our Parish Council, performing in His Last Days, or providing her unique insight on faith during her many lay reflections, there are just too many ways to count the positive impact that she had and continues to have on so many lives.

Visitation will be at the Hoening & Son Funeral Home, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria (Former Key Bank Building) from 3-8 PM on Wednesday, Feb 28.

The funeral will be at Kansas St. James at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 1.  There will be a dinner following Mass at the funeral home.

Below is a recording of the last lay reflection given by Elaine on August 13, 2017:

Our Parish Vision is:

  • to continue growing stronger in our commitment to our faith
  • to worship together
  • to make God’s love known to others through Christian education
  • to serve the needs of our community through outreach programs
